The Track and Influences

This is the track I have chosen to use for my video, I have chosen it as it is quite an indie track and I personally think it is quite good.

Here are some videos which will give me inspiration for my video and song choice;

Blink-182 - Always will influence my video as I want to have the same style of video with the split screen effect of the different bodys, legs and heads.

Foo Fighters - Walk will influence my videos style with the person walking around while the camera follows in a voyeuristic manor.

The Kooks - I think that this band has played a big part in influencing the band I have chosen to create the genre of music which they do (Indie/Alternative)

This is my audience profile for the genre of the track which I have chosen, this shows that I have chosen to use the age group of between 16-25 who are mostly male and have interests like; going to festivals and gigs, listening to music, socialising and fashion, this also shows that they are not the healthiest of people as they will eat take-aways and fast foods along with watching tv however thay may be interested in activities like skateboarding and playing the guitar.

Hi,
I am a student at St.Bedes in Lanchester and I am doing a Project for Media Studies at A-Level, where my task isto create a music video to partner a piece of music. I would like to know if I could use your track; 'This Is An End' for my video? As I came across this composition doing my research, and I think it is a great track. Please get back to me to let me know if this is possible.
Thank You,
Yours Faithfully,
Ben Jackson

For some of these slides I have made changes which I will say now; My audience will be between 16-25 years of age, the video will be mostly narrative in style (see storyboard) but everything else is the same.

These are my music video story board planing sheets, though these are basic they outline the main points of my video which are loneliness and slight depression, the video will be in black and white to show the loneliness and depression and it will be filmed using a hand-held camera and a tri-podfor the different shots, the poses from the 'actors' will be quite mysterious and dark especially the hooded figure I am going to use for the song title lines as his/her face will never be shown.

This is my preliminary music video which I created at the end of my AS Media year, the track which I placed the video with is The White Stripes - Little Room, I chose it as it is quite a short track but very catchy, during the video we see a person who is confused but then we see that the plot changes and everything goes crazy, also in the video I placed a 'advert' spoof with someone flinging a Polo into their mouth which is close to what you can see if you watch one of the videos by the Foo Fighters as they do some spoof videos for their music, at the end of the video I have a clip from the film Anchorman- The Legend of Ron Burgundy where the actor (Will Ferrel) misreads his lines on the screen, I put this in my video to give a slight comical edge to the video itself.
